Metered Fare Rates
The meter is required to be engaged or “hired” when a taxicab is occupied by anyone in addition to the driver.
- $2.50 First 1/10 Mile or Fraction Thereof
- $.25 Each additional 1/10
- $25.00 Per Hour Waiting Time
- $100.00 Clean-Up Fee
- Four passengers can ride for the price of one if going to the same destination.
- $2.50 per passenger over 4.
Discounts
We offer discounts to those who need them most. We give discounts to seniors, Students, and Military Personnel. In order to receive one of these discounts, proper ID must be shown at time of pick up. Offers cannot be combined. Estimate your taxicab fare now and get a discount with Mr. Taxi.
Seniors (AARP)
A standing 15% discount will be given off of the meter rate when presented with an AARP card and paying cash. A 10% discount applies when paying with a credit card.
Student
A standing 15% discount will be given off of the meter rate when presented with a Student ID card and paying cash. A 10% discount applies when paying with a credit card.
United States Military
A standing 15% discount will be given off of the meter rate when presented with a United States Military ID card and paying cash. A 10% discount applies when paying with a credit card.
University of Kentucky Employees
A standing 15% discount will be given off of the meter rate when presented with a U.K. Employee ID card and paying cash. A 10% discount applies when paying with a credit card.
